The list of components includes a stepper motor, a driver, an Arduino-compatible microcontroller, power supply, resistors, bearings, and various fasteners. While the individual parts may seem simple, the assembly process can be complex, especially for those new to electronics. Yvo emphasizes the importance of following his detailed tutorial closely. He used a prototype board rather than a PCB, which means there's no pre-designed layout to follow. However, he provided a schematic that should make replication straightforward. For the circuit, he connected the 9V or 12V power supply to the microcontroller’s VIN or VBAT pin, while the 5V output came directly from the controller itself. What makes the "Hand-in-Hand" clock truly unique is how it operates. Instead of tracking actual time, it uses the consistent intervals of the stepper motor to move the hands. While these intervals don’t necessarily align with real time, the accuracy remains sufficient for practical use.
