The XaarJet 500 printhead is designed for the use of UV-curable inks and solvent-based inks on flat panels, plastics, vinyl, ceramics and glass. Sericol's professionally formulated inks are used to expand the Xaar market.

Sericol Imaging is the inkjet printers working group of the printing division of Burmah Castrol Chemicals Group and was recently acquired by BP Amoco. Xaar plc quickly expanded its inkjet printer technology into three parts: Xaar technology, digital Xaar and Xaar printers. Ilford Imaging in the United Kingdom maintains its strength in the color graphics market with its Archiva ink (not to be confused with Epson's Archival inks). FORMULABS
