Classification of climbing hazards

I always wanted to talk about this topic but I didn't say it because I didn't know the right vocabulary. People divide the dangers of mountaineering roughly into two categories. One category is called objectiveive harzard and translates roughly as "objective danger" (I wonder if there are other ready-made words?). The class is artificially dangerous (for example, carelessness, equipment problems, insufficient technology, and theft). I only talk about natural dangers. Objective dangers include things such as avalanches, falling rocks, lightning strikes, low temperatures, and lack of oxygen. If you catch them, you are in danger; if you avoid them, it is a natural phenomenon.

Want to deal with what can be done to objectively dangerous people only to understand and avoid. This danger is the ultimate danger in climbing. No matter how many achievements and experiences you have, if you are unlucky enough to run into it, objective risks are treated equally by everyone. Non-objective danger can generally be minimized through careful preparation and full practice, but objective dangers are always there. The world’s truly difficult climb is because of the great danger of the objective – one can only count on oneself to be as prepared as possible and take a short shot when the nature “hits”. Many mountain climbers do not climb the objectively dangerous route. It is not their ability. It is they who know how much ability they have and are no good at objective danger. There was once a well-known German guide who asked whether he could go on a certain route and said something. Later, the classic quotations: "[The line] can be up. But I don't." It also determines that the route is ultimately not a technical difficulty. But the level of objective danger.

People who have no experience of mountain climbing at all know the objective danger. But beginners’ problems are the biggest, because they often ignore objective dangers, and what they can learn (technical and equipment use, etc.) are mostly about non-objective dangers. They think that anyway, if they can't be objectively at risk, they might as well be left behind. . After such a person has reached a certain level of climbing, he only pays attention to the objective danger.

For those who still want to go to Xuebaoding: If you think "maybe the current Xuebaoding is not suitable for large-scale mountaineering, one or two can always be.", then you do not realize the objective danger and the size of the team. Nothing to do.
