Solvin, a joint venture between Solvay, Belgium and BASF, Germany, has developed NanoVin, a nanocomposite that combines nanoparticles of PVC and clay. The company claims that NanoVin shows good plasticity, viscosity and flowability.
The new product was developed by the Solvay Research and Technology Center in Neder-over-Heembeek, Belgium and is currently entering the pre-commercial stage with the pilot plant in Jemeppe, Belgium.
