GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX film is an extremely thin and durable material, which is composed of two different polymers through a patented production method. One of them is EXPANDED PTFE with waterproof function.
Tetrafluoroethylene is chemically very similar to TEFLON polymer, while expanded PTFE film contains 9 billion holes per square inch; these holes are more than a drop of water. To be much smaller, but much larger than the vapor molecules. When the water is in the liquid state, it cannot penetrate the tissue of the GORE-TEX film; but when it becomes moisture/sweat, it can easily be evacuated through the film. Another polymer, combined with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), is an oil- and oil-repellent substance that, in addition to allowing the passage of water vapor, also blocks the penetration of contaminants-such as: Grease, cosmetics, insecticides and other oils, etc. Without such a protective layer, the waterproof capability will be greatly affected by the contaminants.

Power Dry
