1. Inspection Classification and Items
1.1 Inspection Classification
The air shower testing procedures are categorized into two types: factory inspection and type inspection.
1.2 Inspection Items
All the required test items are outlined in Table 1 below.

2. Factory Inspection
2.1 Inspection Content
All factory inspection items are detailed in Table 4, which provides a comprehensive list of tests to be conducted on each unit before it is released for use.
2.2 Inspection Quantity
Each air shower must undergo individual inspection, and all results must be recorded systematically for future reference and quality control purposes.
2.3 Qualified and Unqualified Judgment
If any single item in the inspection fails to meet the technical specifications outlined in section 7.1.1.2 of this standard, the product is considered unqualified. In such cases, the air shower must be returned to the workshop for repairs. Once repaired, the unit must be re-inspected until it meets all required standards.
2.4 Inspection Report
Factory inspection reports should follow the format provided in Appendix A. Additionally, the record-keeping format for factory inspections can be found in Appendix B, ensuring consistency and traceability throughout the process.
3. Type Testing
Type testing is mandatory under the following circumstances:
- When a new product is finalized or an existing product is transferred to production;
- When changes occur in the design, manufacturing process, or materials that could affect product performance;
- When production resumes after being discontinued for over one year.
3.1 Inspection Content
Type testing must cover all the items specified in section 5.6 of this standard. The detailed list of tests is provided in Table 4.
3.2 Sample Size
In cases a) to c), only one type test is required. For case d), samples must be randomly selected from units that have passed the factory inspection, with a minimum of two units per test.
3.3 Qualified and Unqualified Judgment
If any test item fails to meet the technical requirements as outlined in section 7.2.1.2, the entire type test is deemed unsuccessful. In such cases, not only must the air shower be repaired, but all products from the same production batch must also be inspected and analyzed to identify the root cause of failure. Appropriate corrective actions must be implemented to prevent recurrence.
After implementing preventive measures, the type test must be repeated to confirm compliance.
3.4 Test Report
Type test reports should follow the format described in Appendix A, while the record-keeping format for type testing is available in Appendix B.
4. Inspection Agency
All type testing and certification of air showers must be carried out by authorized institutions recognized by the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA).
