1. Thermal foam inkjet technology

2. Piezo inkjet technology
Piezoelectric inkjet technology can effectively adjust the size and use of ink droplets by controlling the voltage. Compared with thermal foam inkjet technology, piezoelectric inkjet technology has the advantages of relatively regular ink droplet shape, controllable ink droplet size, and relatively long service life of inkjet head. However, its printing speed and resolution are inversely proportional, and its production capacity is generally low. The cost of the inkjet head made by piezoelectric inkjet technology is relatively high. The disadvantage is that once the nozzle is clogged, no matter the cost of dredging or replacing the inkjet head is high, and it is not easy to operate.
3. Continuous inkjet technology
The continuous inkjet system has the advantages of high frequency response and high-speed printing. However, the structure of this type of inkjet printhead is relatively complex, requiring a pressure device, a charging electrode, and a deflection electric field, which is difficult to mass produce. At the same time, due to the complexity of its print head structure, it must be printed and dried separately in monochrome groups. If four colors are printed at the same time, the quality requirements of the paper will be very high, otherwise the problem of inaccurate registration due to paper deformation .
At present, various manufacturers are improving inkjet technology through various ways.
Hewlett-Packard mainly increased investment in two aspects to improve its inkjet printing technology. The first is the official release of the 2400dpi nozzle technology in February 2015, and the installation of the customer ’s site was achieved in November of the same year. Through the 2400dpi high-resolution print head technology, the problems of large particles and color transition divider lines, which were often seen in inkjet, have been greatly improved, and the printing quality has been very close to the level of offset printing. As we all know, one of the main problems of inkjet is "picking paper", and inkjet special paper is usually a foreign brand and expensive. But because the water-based ink is difficult to be absorbed by the coated paper, the printing effect is usually not good. A few days ago, HP has officially released online pre-coating technology and coating liquid, which can perform "hydrophilic pretreatment" on many common coated papers on the market to achieve higher quality inkjet printing.
The development of piezoelectric inkjet technology mainly depends on several printhead manufacturers, such as Kyocera, Hitachi, and Panasonic. It is said that the high-resolution nozzle will be launched soon, and it is expected to be seen at drupa2016. At present, many inkjet equipment manufacturers achieve the so-called "1200dpi control accuracy" by staggering two sets of 600dpi nozzles, which can obtain more exquisite print quality at the expense of printing speed (halving the printing speed), but at the same time It also caused an increase in equipment manufacturing costs.
Kodak cooperated with domestic manufacturing manufacturers to produce special pre-coated paper, but because the overall amount is not large enough, the price of the paper is still maintained at a relatively high level. It is also reported that Kodak will release a faster high-speed inkjet printing equipment, but Kodak has recently prepared to sell its inkjet product line, and we will wait and see how it will develop in the future.
Application status analysis
The current high-speed inkjet printing technology has a certain gap compared with traditional offset printing. In the foreign direct billing market where high-speed inkjet printing is widely used, the development in China is not smooth. At present, the application of high-speed inkjet printing technology is mainly concentrated in the field of publishing.
