Have you achieved all four stages of the print quality evaluation process?

There are problems with printing quality, which are encountered by companies during the production process. The audit and evaluation of print quality is also a must for every company. So are the four stages of evaluation and audit clear? This article will introduce the printing quality evaluation process from four aspects.

Throughout the printing process, the evaluation of printed matter may include the following stages:

1. Customer's evaluation of the submitted sample
When evaluating the submitted samples, the customer is the protagonist of the evaluation, and confirms whether the submitted samples are satisfactory with reference to the original. This process may need to be revised repeatedly to obtain customer satisfaction. Eventually, the signed samples are approved and formally printed. Customer signing is usually proofing proofs. The evaluation content includes factors such as tone reproduction, color reproduction, overprint accuracy, and clarity.

2. On-site evaluation and measurement control during the printing process
Printing on-site evaluation and measurement and control is the control of the production stage. It is the on-site evaluation and control that occurs in the printing workshop. It is the key to producing high-quality printed products. It is often called the process control stage. According to the operation process of printing, the quality evaluation and control in the printing process can be divided into the following steps: â‘  Confirm the batch printouts before formal start-up. Generally, the process personnel and quality personnel evaluate on site and check out batch prints. The comparison basis of the signed samples is the submitted samples approved by the customer. Some customers also go directly to the site to sign the printed samples to save the time for adjusting the confirmation of sending samples back and forth, also known as the on-machine signing samples; â‘¡ process inspection. Check the printed sheet with the printed sample as the reference standard and find the deviation to be adjusted immediately. It is required to ensure that the specified sampling amount is checked during the entire printing process to ensure the consistency of the printing quality of the printed sheet and the sample sheet.

3. Acceptance and inspection before printing
Before the finished product leaves the factory, the quality inspection personnel should check the printed matter that is going to leave the factory, and reject the waste, defective products, and counting numbers. When conducting finished product inspection, it is necessary to determine full inspection or partial sampling according to the quantity and quality requirements of the product. The scientific and effective method is to use mathematical statistics to analyze the test results.

4. Various types of printing quality evaluation
The above procedure is the quality evaluation and control process under normal production conditions. In addition, the industry often holds various levels of product quality evaluation. The detection process is slightly different. Generally, industry experts regularly or irregularly evaluate each product. The quality of printed matter is classified into categories. The basis for the evaluation includes various types of printed manuscripts or customer requirements, and industry-recognized quality standards.
