Hey everyone,
I hope this note finds you well. If you've been following our blog, you'll know that we recently held a fantastic event to support the Ottawa Hospital Breast Health Centre. It was a memorable evening filled with laughter, dancing, and plenty of heartfelt contributions to a great cause.
On February 13th, we hosted a benefit dinner dance to raise funds for a new biopsy chair, which is crucial for detecting cancer cells early. Early detection significantly improves survival rates, so we set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000. And guess what? Thanks to incredible supporters like you, we exceeded our target! The grand total came out to $17,251. This includes both your generous donations and the proceeds from the Valentine’s Dinner Dance held at St. Anthony's Banquet Hall. The additional funds will go towards purchasing other essential equipment that the Breast Health Centre urgently needs.
We're incredibly grateful for everyone who participated and contributed to making this happen. It just goes to show how powerful it is when a community comes together for a good cause. While we're thrilled with what we achieved, it's important to remember that the fight against cancer continues, and there's still much work to be done.

Now, let me tell you about one of the highlights of the evening—our head-shaving ceremony! A group of us, including myself (Giuseppe), Frank, Ken, and Enzo, decided to shave our heads as a way to encourage donations. We’re part of a close-knit group called the Sons of Carpineto Romano, and we’re always looking for ways to give back to the community. It was quite the sight, but it was all worth it to see the smiles on everyone's faces and the incredible generosity that poured in. Afterward, we danced the night away, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
