On June 8, the “City Activities of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Day 2013” ​​was held in Xianyang. Li Xiaojie, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, spoke and announced that “2013 China Cultural Heritage Day, the official urban activities in Xianyang was officially launched”. The event was sponsored by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the Shaanxi Provincial Government, and organized by the Shaanxi Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics and the Xianyang Municipal Government. The opening ceremony was hosted by Bai Aying, Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province.

The activities of the city's home games in Xianyang are rich in content. The basic performances were performed, the suspects arrested and arrested for the cultural relics, fire drills, handed over of cultural relics, technical achievements, and high-tech equipment display. Later, they visited the exhibition on the achievements in the fight against the crime of cultural relics. Middle school students experienced the opening ceremony of simulated archeology, knowledge of heritage identification, the third national cultural relics census series in Shaanxi Province, and the closing ceremony of the home city events of Chinese cultural heritage day were held at the Hanyang Tomb Branch.

It is understood that the State Council has decided that since 2006, the second Saturday of June each year will be the "Chinese Cultural Heritage Day." In 2012, with the recommendation of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and the application of the Xianyang Municipal Government, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage decided that the eighth Chinese Cultural Heritage Day home city event was held in Xianyang City. The theme of this year’s event is “Cultural heritage and a comprehensive well-to-do society”. The slogans are “Protecting the Roots of History, Retaining Common Memory”, “Cherishing the Common Legacy of Mankind, Protecting the National Spiritual Homeland”, “A Day of Attention, and a Lifetime Action”. “How many people at the end of the cultural relics will be known when they are censused?”, “Meet the ancient capital of Xianyang, and pass through Zhouqin, Han and Tang dynasties”.

It is reported that the 2014 home city event of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Day will be held in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province.
