This reagent is intended for research purposes only. The kit is designed to quantify C-reactive protein (CRP) in human serum, plasma, and other related biological samples. The experimental principle is based on the double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. In this procedure, a microplate is pre-coated with purified human CRP-specific antibodies to create a solid-phase antibody. After adding the sample containing CRP, the CRP binds to the immobilized antibody. Subsequently, an HRP-conjugated anti-CRP antibody is introduced, forming a complex of antibody-antigen-enzyme-labeled antibody. The plate is then thoroughly washed to remove unbound components. A TMB substrate solution is added, and under the catalytic action of HRP, TMB turns blue and then changes to yellow when an acidic stop solution is applied. The intensity of the color developed is directly proportional to the concentration of CRP in the sample. The optical density (OD) is measured at 450 nm using a microplate reader, and the CRP concentration in the sample is determined by comparing it to a standard curve.
