This past week marked Farmhouse Breakfast Week, and I was thrilled when Denhay Farms reached out to challenge me to mix things up with my morning routine and try some of their premium products. Honestly, it wouldn’t take much effort to spice up my breakfast game. As someone who usually sticks to the same old routine—typically just dumping cereal into a bowl—it felt like a fun opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. And since we’ve had so much snow lately, I decided to get creative and craft a snowman-themed full English breakfast to celebrate.
The centerpiece of the hamper they sent over included a delightful selection of Spoiltpig sausages and Denhay bacon. While I didn’t use a ton of bacon—it’s something I rarely purchase—it was such a delicious indulgence. Each bite practically melted in my mouth, highlighting the superior quality of the meat. Plus, knowing that Spoiltpig products are Freedom Food approved added an extra layer of reassurance.
But the real showstopper for me was the Clarence Court Burford Brown eggs. Their vibrant orange yolks were nothing short of spectacular compared to standard eggs. Each egg even features a tiny crown etched on its shell, which I found charmingly quirky. Paired with these beauties, we also received a bottle of Tracklements Spicy Salsa Sauce—a bold choice for breakfast but one that complemented the sausages beautifully.
To bring the snowman concept to life, I used the eggs to whip up hash browns for the body, shaped them into a snowy mound, and scattered some fluffy scrambled eggs around as the “snow.†A tomato served as the nose, while mushrooms became the eyes. For that finishing touch, I crowned the creation with a sausage hat and wrapped it snugly in a bacon scarf. It was both adorable and utterly satisfying.
