This week happens to be Farmhouse Breakfast Week, and Denhay Farms reached out to me with a fun challenge—spice up my breakfast routine using their high-quality farmhouse products. Honestly, it didn’t take much persuasion for me to get excited. My breakfast game has been pretty predictable lately; cereal and milk in a bowl pretty much covers it most mornings. But this seemed like the perfect opportunity to break the monotony, especially since I had the chance to work with some really impressive ingredients.
To celebrate both the snowy weather and the fantastic products I received, I decided to go all out and create a snowman-themed English breakfast. It was a bit of a project, but so worth it!
The centerpiece of the hamper was a selection of Spoiltpig sausages and Denhay bacon. While I didn’t use much bacon for this particular dish, it was such a treat to cook with—it’s rare for me to indulge in something so rich. The sausages were fantastic too; you could tell they were made with top-notch meat, and they practically melted in your mouth. Plus, it’s comforting to know that Spoiltpig products are backed by Freedom Food certification.
But the real star of the show for me was the Clarence Court Burford Brown eggs. Each one has a tiny crown printed on the shell, which is adorable. Their yolks are a vivid orange compared to regular eggs, and they taste incredible. To add an extra touch, we also received some Tracklements Spicy Salsa Sauce, which isn’t your typical breakfast condiment—but it paired beautifully with the sausages.
For the snowman breakfast, I got creative. The eggs became the base for hash browns forming the snowman’s body and some scrambled egg "snow" for his head. A tomato served as the nose, while mushrooms stood in for his eyes. To finish him off, I added a delicious sausage hat and wrapped him up in a cozy bacon scarf. It was a hit—and not just visually!
