Canadian company successfully developed a new type of food packaging container

A new type of food and beverage packaging container that brings benefits to industry and the environment was recently developed and patented by a Canadian company. This container consists of two parts. One part is a thin container for holding and preserving food, and it can be made of plastic, metal or glass. The other part is an outer structure for the container to be embedded and can be made of cardboard. This new container has good sealing performance and can be used for freezing, heating, antisepsis and disinfection. It is an ideal substitute for semi-rigid containers. In the material composition of this container, cardboard accounts for about 80% - 90%, and plastic, metal or glass is selected according to the type of food contained, generally only 10% -20%. Cardboard is environmentally friendly, biodegradable and can also be recycled and reused. Because the amount of plastic, metal, or glass used in this container is much less than the number of food containers currently used in the market, it helps to solve the problem of waste and rubbish, and greatly reduces soil, water, and air pollution.
