From now on, Yizhuang Town, Daxing District began to pilot the intelligent classification of waste in Xiaokang Community and Fuyuanli Community. Households who successfully sort and distribute their waste into smart bins will receive eco points and then redeem their daily necessities through the “Services†app.
The community neighborhood committee will distribute blue, green and gray garbage bags for each household to hold recyclable garbage, kitchen waste and other garbage. Each garbage bag has the exclusive QR code of the family, and the corresponding trash can can be opened by scanning the code on the smart garbage bin. After the sorter confirms that the residents have placed the correct amount, they will scan the QR code on the garbage bag and upload the environmental protection points to the “Also Service†APP. The residents can use the points to exchange the rice, noodles, oil and other daily necessities with the residents' committee.
Zuo Dongqing, deputy mayor of Yizhuang Town, said that a team of garbage sorting instructors has been set up in the town. When the peak period is put in place, there will be instructors to demonstrate and explain each garbage collection equipment, and a garbage sorting lecture will be held in “Yi Xue Tangâ€. Special environmental protection courses such as household waste recycling and waste soap handmade soap production.
Xiaokang Community and Fuyuanli Community are two large residential areas in Yizhuang Town, with more than 3,200 households, accounting for about one-sixth of the permanent residents of the town. Zuo Dongqing introduced that after six months of operation of the two communities in the pilot, the intelligentization of garbage classification will be expected to be extended to the whole town.
