This third edition, held at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, invited guests to delve into the complexities of human experience through ten carefully curated exhibits. The exhibition was brought to life by the creative direction of filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and architect Nicolò Rosmarini, who envisioned Homo Faber as a surreal yet tangible journey. Among them was Italian artist Massimiliano Pelletti, who reimagined The Three Graces using Mexican white onyx, merging classical aesthetics with modern execution. Another standout was UK-based Charlotte Bourru, known for her intricate 3D paper world maps, and Gunjan Gupta, whose cane basket throne celebrated cultural heritage through innovative design.
Interactive experiences were a significant part of the event, allowing visitors to engage directly with the crafts. Workshops like the Japanese bookbinding session by Antica Legatoria Ofer or globe-making with Leonardo Frigo provided hands-on learning opportunities, fostering a deeper appreciation for historical craftsmanship.
Beyond the visual displays, the culinary offerings added another layer of luxury. Ristorante La Vela served exquisite Venetian dishes under the guidance of Michelin-starred chef Salvatore Sodano, while smaller venues like La Cicchetteria introduced guests to the local cicchetti tradition, offering authentic regional flavors.
Expanding beyond the main venue, Homo Faber in Città opened 70 artisan workshops across Venice, providing exclusive insights into the city's rich craft history in collaboration with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte.
