Packaging film too thin risk toy packaging needs more care

[China Packaging Network News] learned from the Tianjin Airport Inspection and Quarantine Bureau that a batch of toy products intended to be exported to South Korea was not allowed to be exported due to the hidden dangers of security risk in the external packaging and the unqualified notice of the exported goods was issued. According to statistics, 1010 sets of toy toys were involved in this issue, with a value of 58580 US dollars, which was the first time this year the bureau was seized.

The inspection and quarantine staff introduced that the declared product name of the batch of products was children's musical toys, and the label description was suitable for children over 3 years of age. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) lists toys in high-risk product catalogues, and statutory inspections must be conducted before exporting toy products
At present, there are strict rules for the use of packaging films for toys at home and abroad. For example, the EU requires plastic film inside and outside packaging and bags made of soft plastic, the average thickness should not be less than 0.038 mm. The risk of too thin a toy product bag cannot be ignored. There have been many incidents of suffocating casualties caused by excessively thin plastic packaging sticking to children's mouth and nose in China.
